Tampa Making Bold Moves

Just seems like 2 seasons ago the Bolts were the young team on the rise being conservative and letting their youth develop, now it seems like after a disastrous season they are throwing all caution into the wind for a piece of that sweet cherry pie. The Bolts moved Bo Horvat, who allegedly was in the doghouse after a poor effort this past season, was moved for the better, but much older, Patrice Bergeron. Bergeron will give the Bolt’s one of, if not the best, two-way center in the league.

“We just felt like it was time to move on”, said GM MacPherson. “We’d like to thank Bo for the past 2 seasons, but we feel that with Bergeron’s veteran leadership our squad is in a better position to make a run for the cup”. The Bolts now look like they will have a deadly top 6, with guys like Marchand, Landy, Svechnikov, and now Bergeron in it.

Bergeron wasn’t the only big add today, the Bolts have also locked up their new starting goaltender, Cam Talbot, for the next 4 seasons. Talbot looks like he could be an upgrade over Francouz, and they hope that with a two-way core in front of him that Talbot will thrive.

There are rumors that the Bolts might not be done yet as they have approximately 2.6Mish in cap space so plenty of space left for an add or 2. It will be interesting to see how the Bolts will look heading into next season.
