Unreal but true – Canucks eliminate Sharks in 5

Thats one for the history: The underdog won the western conference semifinal series in 5 games. With a huge overtime goal by Ryan Kesler the Vancouver Canucks beat the almighty Sharks. “I think during the last 8 seasons we havent won 4 games against the Sharks and now we won 4 of 5. Thats crazy”, GM Kaminski said right after the surprise.

With 2 shutouts in the series, Corey Schneider advanced to be the hero for the Canucks. He only lost one game during the first two rounds. But also Valteri Filppula played a great series and has huge playoffs so far. He got 11 points in 9 games and scored in each of the last 8 games.

Now the Canucks are going to play the conference final for the first time in DHL history. “We play LA now and we are looking forward to. Just playing our game and see what happens. Thats a cinderella story and good for our bank account too”, Kaminski smiled.
